3 Texas football players trying to recruit Jordan Addison

It certainly makes sense that a potential Heisman contender for this coming season such as the rising junior star running back Bijan Robinson wants the Longhorns to get a commitment from Addison out of the portal this offseason. There are definitely more pros than cons from Bijan’s perspective in terms of the hypothetical addition of Addison.

That’s why it’s not shocking in the slightest to see Bijan helping Sark, Marion, and the Longhorns recruit Addison to the Forty Acres.

In a world where the Longhorns are able to add Addison out of the portal ahead of this fall, that could instantly help open up the field for a superstar such as Bijan. Just think about all the open field Bijan would have to work with if opposing defenses also had to worry about other weapons at the skill positions for the Longhorns such as star sophomore wideout Xavier Worthy and Addison.

This coming season is very likely going to be the last for Bijan playing for Texas. Thus, this is the one that counts for him and he likely wants to be able to get to the Big 12 Championship Game and at least compete for a spot in the College Football Playoff for the first time in his career.

The closest Bijan came in the couple of seasons he’s played for the Longhorns thus far was back in 2020, but Texas didn’t make it to the Big 12 Title Game or contend for the College Football Playoff by the end of the regular season.
