Rafiti Ghirmai, OL

Due to a lack of offensive line depth entering the offseason, the roster attrition at this spot wasn’t too much of an issue for Sark and offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood.

In fact, the lone offensive lineman to transfer from Texas that has yet to find his next landing spot out of the portal at this point of the offseason is super senior Rafiti Ghirmai. Texas lost Ghirmai to the portal a few months back. And he’s taking a pretty patient approach it seems to this transfer process.

It looks like the lone offer that Ghirmai has announced at this point of his transfer process came from the Syracuse Orange. Knowing that Syracuse still has an apparent need to add offensive line depth right away this year, getting a grad transfer such as Ghirmai makes sense.

Ryan Bujcevski, P

We’ve talked about the next potential landing spot for punter Ryan Bujcevski out of the portal before since he put his name in the portal back in late February. And it still feels like Bujcevski is just looking for a landing spot out of the portal where he’ll have a clear path to start and prove himself this coming season before he tests the waters for the NFL Draft.

There are still two potential destinations out of the portal that makes sense for Bujcevski that I’ve mentioned before. The first is with the San Diego State Aztecs in the Mountain West Conference, who don’t really have a set-in-stone starting punter yet.

But the possible destination for Bujcevski that could likely see him start without much contest lies with the UMass Minutemen.
