The most hotly discussed target in the NCAA Transfer Portal at this point of the offseason for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian, new wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Brennan Marion, and the Texas football program is currently visiting with new head coach Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans this weekend. That touted Texas transfer target we’re talking about here is the reigning Biletnikoff Award winner and former Pitt Panthers star sophomore wide receiver Jordan Addison.

Sark, Marion, and the Longhorns are clearly making Addison their top portal target at this point of the offseason. Despite adding a lot of depth to the wide receiver room via the portal already this offseason, there is still a need to replace further losses following spring ball for the Longhorns at this position.

Texas lost nearly a half-dozen wide receivers to the transfer portal so far this offseason, leaving them pretty short on depth at this position. But the options are going to start running thin soon for Sark, Marion, and the Longhorns to attempt to replace the losses ahead of the start of summer workouts.

Which Texas football players would suffer most from the addition of WR Jordan Addison?

Thus, Addison became a portal target that the Longhorns put all their resources into. By all accounts, Texas did about as much as they possibly could to make the right impression with Addison during his official visit earlier this week.

Yet, not every Longhorns player would benefit from Addison committing to Texas. There are some that would clearly lose playing time and/or valuable live game reps this fall (and possibly further into the future) if Addison was added to this receiving corps.

With that in mind, here’s a look at three Longhorns players that would suffer from the addition of Addison this offseason.
