The ups and downs of the NCAA Transfer Portal have played out for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian, new wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Brennan Marion, and the Texas football program in the last couple of weeks. Texas was firmly involved in the recruitment of the reigning Biletnikoff Award winner and former Pitt Panthers star sophomore wide receiver Jordan Addison out of the transfer portal since just after the conclusion of spring camp.

Addison essentially wound up having the Longhorns and USC Trojans as his two top choices out of the portal as he quickly went through his transfer process in the last couple of weeks. Texas and USC were the only two schools that got official visits from Addison after he entered the portal back in early May.

What potential portal targets could Texas football find at WR after missing on Jordan Addison?

But that wasn’t enough for Sark, Marion, and the Longhorns to ultimately win the race to land a commitment out of the portal from Addison. New head coach Lincoln Riley and the Trojans officially landed the commitment of Addison on the afternoon of May 19, ending the biggest recruitment on the transfer market for the Longhorns so far this spring.

As we’ve talked about before, missing out on Addison is definitely no reason to panic for the Longhorns. But it does look like Texas is still seeking out more numbers to add to the receiving corps ahead of the fall.

With that in mind, here’s a look into four other portal players that remain available on the transfer market if the Longhorns do want to add more numbers to the receiving corps this offseason.
