The 2022 season will put second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program to the test as they look to make some headway in the Big 12. Texas was one of the more disappointing teams in the Big 12 last fall, as they wound up finishing up with a record of 5-7 (3-6 Big 12). That saw Texas miss out on bowl season for the first time since 2016.

Some of the five-star talents that Texas has in the fold will be part of this equation of this team taking their product on the field to new heights starting this fall. With that in mind, here’s a look at three former five-star recruits for the Longhorns that are ready to breakout in 2022.
