Texas Softball vs. OU: Odds, TV/stream, pick in WCWS
Heading into the most important game of the season thus far for head coach Mike White and the unseeded Texas softball program, there will be a ton of excitement and anticipation building in this de facto postseason Red River Rivalry game. Texas will face the top-seeded and Big 12 regular season champion Oklahoma Sooners in their second game of the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City, OK.
White and the Longhorns got to this point by pulling off yet another upset in the first game of the Women’s College World Series. Texas downed the red-hot five-seed UCLA Bruins in Game 1 of the Women’s College World Series on June 2. That was the biggest win in the history of this softball program in the WCWS, which came by the final score of 7-2 over the PAC-12 Champion Bruins.
The win over UCLA gives Texas a three-game winning streak and a record of 44-19-1 (12-6 Big 12) heading into this WCWS meeting with the Sooners.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma comes into this Red River WCWS game in OKC sporting a stunning record of 55-2 (17-1 Big 12) following their dominant win in their first game in these festivities. Oklahoma downed the nine-seed Northwestern Wildcats in their first game in OKC back on June 2 by the convincing final score of 13-1 in just five innings.
Here’s a look at the betting odds, TV/streaming information, and game prediction as Texas gets set to face the top-seeded Sooners in the WCWS on June 4, with the first pitch time set for 2 p.m. CT.

Texas softball vs. OU pick
This will be the fourth meeting between Texas and Oklahoma this season. Texas is actually one of just two teams to boast a win over the Sooners this season, which went to the All-American senior Hailey Dolcini back on April 16, which came by the final score of 4-2.
Dolcini is likely to get the call on the mound again for White and the Longhorns against this juggernaut of an Oklahoma team. But Texas has won this game before, and they can do it again. Texas will likely have to beat the Sooners twice, though, to make it through this portion of the bracket in OKC.
That will be a major test for Dolcini and the Longhorns in order to get this all-elusive title in OKC.
Dolcini will really need to put her best foot forward in order for Texas to stand a chance in this one. OU has scored at least seven runs in all but one of their outings in the midst of this six-game winning streak. If Dolcini can limit the Sooners to five or fewer runs, that will definitely give the Longhorns a chance to come away with the win.
The winner of this game will only need one more win after this one in order to reach the final game of the Women’s College World Series. Meanwhile, the loser will battle UCLA in an elimination game on June 5.
