Throughout the long and storied history of the Texas football program, there are multiple blue-blood opponents in which this team has found success. But there are some that have never found a lick of success against Texas, whether that be in one try or many.

While some of the blue blood programs that the Longhorns have faced most often throughout the program’s storied history are the Oklahoma Sooners, Texas A&M Aggies, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and the Arkansas Razorbacks, there are others that are common foes for Texas. The Longhorns have also faced the likes of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Georgia Bulldogs, Penn State Nittany Lions, and LSU Tigers, on at least five occasions.

But with so many big-time matchups being played by Texas against these blue bloods, there are some that will stick out above the rest. And the focus of this piece are the blue bloods that Texas has literally had nothing but success against throughout its history.

Which blue blood programs have yet to beat Texas football?

With that in mind, here’s a look at three blue blood college football programs that the Longhorns are undefeated against.

Florida

Record: 2-0-1

While it was a very long time since the last time that the Longhorns and Florida Gators met on the gridiron, fans of both programs won’t have to wait much longer for the next meeting between these blue bloods. Texas and Florida will soon be SEC foes. And even if that hadn’t come to fruition, the Longhorns and Gators scheduled a home-and-home series in football for 2030 and 2031.

The last time that Texas and Florida met was in 1940 when former Longhorns head coach Dana X. Bible led his squad to a 26-0 shutout win over the Gators. That wound up being the second straight shutout win for the Longhorns over the Gators, as the men in burnt orange also won this game in 1939 by a score of 12-0.

However, Texas is undefeated, but they aren’t untied against Florida. The first time Texas and Florida met was back during the 1924 season in Austin. That game amounted to a 7-7 tie.
