4 visitors this weekend Texas football could land after Arch Manning
After a huge week on the recruiting trail for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff, the Texas football program is readying up for another big-time visit weekend on campus. Texas is set to host more than a dozen official visitors on campus this weekend, which will largely cap the biggest portion of the summer visit season on the recruiting trail.
Sark and the Longhorns made this such a big week on the recruiting trail thanks to the massive commitment from the elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning. Late in the morning of June 23, Texas won the Manning sweepstakes and officially got the commitment that this 2023 recruiting class was looking to build around.
We’ll likely continue to see the impact of the commitment from the uber-talented Louisiana quarterback Arch during this upcoming official visit weekend. There are multiple official visitors this weekend among targets of the Longhorns 2023 class that we could realistically see commitments from in the near future.
Which official visitors this weekend could Texas football land after getting a commitment from Arch Manning?
Here’s a look at four weekend official visitors for the Longhorns that Sark and his staff could get commitments out of after landing Arch on June 23.

Jaydon Chatman, IOL
Among the top priorities this summer for offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood and the Longhorns is the touted four-star Harker Heights (TX) interior offensive lineman Jaydon Chatman. After missing out on the four-star hometown Vandegrift offensive tackle Ian Reed to the Clemson Tigers, Chatman has emerged as one of the most important prospects in the trenches on this side of the ball for Texas.
Flood and the Longhorns look to have the best relationship built among the top contenders in the race to land a commitment from Chatman this summer. That will continue to help Texas be able to set the pace in this recruitment moving forward.
But it seems like this weekend is a good opportunity for Flood and the Longhorns to try and officially seal the deal with Chatman. Texas will be getting the final official visit with Chatman this summer, which gives them a nice chance to make the right impression before a potential decision arrives for this skilled in-state offensive lineman.
And it seems like the icing on the cake for Chatman could be the commitment from Arch earlier this week. This looks like a good time to strike for Texas as they look to close things down with Chatman.
