Andre Cojoe, IOL

Another important in-state offensive lineman that continues to remain a key figure for this position group on the big board for Flood and the Longhorns in the 2023 class is the underrated three-star Mansfield Timberview interior offensive lineman Andre Cojoe. There is a need for Texas to have the size and fundamentals of the 6-foot-6 and 330-pound IOL that could be a future anchor to this offensive line.

Texas has long looked like one of the frontrunners in the race to land a commitment from Cojoe. The main competitors this summer for Cojoe look to be the TCU Horned Frogs and Vanderbilt Commodores. He took official visits to TCU (May 13) and Vanderbilt (June 10) already this offseason.

TCU definitely made a strong impression on Cojoe and his camp. But it doesn’t seem like the connection that Cojoe has with the Horned Frogs is the same as the one he has with the Longhorns.

It seems like the timing is right in this recruitment for Flood and the Longhorns to definitely seal the deal with Cojoe. If Texas is still making Cojoe a priority in the trenches for the 2023 class, then this looks like the perfect time to close the deal.

As is the case with Chatman, Texas has the opportunity to get the final word with Cojoe during his summer official visits. And knowing that Cojoe was originally anticipated to make his decision before the fall, the stars could be aligning for him and the Longhorns this coming weekend.
