Trevor Goosby, OT

A recruitment that is important to follow for the Longhorns along the offensive line this coming weekend lies with the current TCU commit and three-star Melissa offensive tackle Trevor Goosby. Texas has heightened their pursuit of Goosby in the last few weeks. Goosby is clearly a priority for the Longhorns in the trenches this summer.

This coming weekend will be the second time that Goosby has visited Texas in as many weeks. Between his unofficials in 2022 and the official visit this weekend, Cojoe will now have taken four trips to Texas in the last six months.

It’s clear that a multitude of big-time Power Five programs in the area are still interesting in pursuing Goosby. The Oklahoma Sooners got an offer out to Goosby, but it doesn’t look like the relationship is very strong there. But one recent suitor of Goosby that will be important to watch for the rest of the summer comes with an offer from the Texas A&M Aggies.

Goosby is seeing his recruitment start to heat up this summer as recent offers from the likes of Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M has seen his national profile explode.

The main competition for Texas here is likely going to be TCU and Texas A&M. Granted, the Aggies will need to get Goosby on the books for a visit this summer to be a real threat on the trail.

Texas has a lot of momentum right now with Goosby. The commitment of Arch only helps their case in this recruitment. If Texas can push the right buttons with Goosby and his camp this weekend, it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if he flips soon from TCU to the Longhorns.
