3. Keilan Robinson, RB

The former Alabama running back transfer and rising junior Keilan Robinson didn’t make this list for the exact same reasons as someone like Crawford. It was the insane open-field speed that Keilan brings to the table along with his blazing fast 40-yard dash times that he’s recorded in the last few years that allowed him to get in among the three fastest players on the team in 2022.

Keilan did crack this list last year as one of the fastest Longhorns players. And him recording multiple sub-4.4 second 40-yard dash times gets him in at No. 3 on this year’s list.

Most of the hype surrounding Keilan’s NFL Draft stock if he takes his talents to the next level in the next couple of years is his insane speed in the open field. From what we could find, the fastest 40-yard dash time for Keilan in the last few years was recorded at around 4.32 seconds (via NFL Draft Buzz).

The plays we see Keilan make on the field when given a running lane is further proof of why he is such a potent threat in this offense. If you want further proof from a pure numbers standpoint, Keilan led the team last season with a breakaway run percentage north of 60.

That essentially means that Keilan took more than 60 percent of his designed run plays for at least a 15-yard gain. He also had five plays where he went for at least 25 yards (between run and pass plays) with at least one missed tackle forced.

Keilan is the type of playmaker with an NFL future thanks to his explosiveness on offense and in the return game. Here’s to hoping that Sark and the Longhorns staff are able to get him the ball with room to run more often this year than last.
