One of the most interesting visitors of the entire offseason for Beard and the Longhorns promises to be the Oklahoma State Cowboys commit and four-star Del City (OK) center Brandon Garrison. Texas is set to host Garrison for an official visit to Austin during the same weekend that Fall will be visiting.

The difference between how Beard and the Longhorns pitch Garrison and Fall during that official visit weekend in mid-September will be what makes that stretch of days so interesting.

While Texas will be looking to make a move to seal the deal with Fall in September during his official visit to Austin, the Longhorns have a much more concise impression to really hit with Garrison and his camp. Garrison already surprised many by announcing his commitment to head coach Mike Boynton and Oklahoma State back on July 7.

Garrison was initially figured to be a target that the likes of the Oklahoma Sooners, Kansas Jayhawks, Texas, and Oklahoma State were duking it out for. It wasn’t expected that Oklahoma State was going to make such a big move for the Oklahoma City, OK, product following his mid-May official visit to Stillwater.

But if Garrison is still willing to hear the pitch that Texas gives him in mid-September, this is something that Beard and the Longhorns staff are going to continue to push for.

At this point of the offseason, Texas likely has the best shot of any school trying to flip Garrison’s commitment from Oklahoma State.
