Texas football is about to pick up the news cycle on the recruiting trail again as we come close to rounding out the month of July. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff will have one final visit weekend during the last few days of July for the Texas BBQ. Texas will be hosting some key targets of the next few recruiting classes for that final weekend of July.

And one of the newly announced visitors for the Longhorns during the Texas July BBQ is a commit in the 2023 class and the elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning. A report from Inside Texas on July 20 indicates that Arch is “expected to be on the Forty Acres for another visit in late July”.

That report from Gerry Hamilton of On3/Inside Texas is specifically referring to the July BBQ that is set to take place next weekend.

Texas football reportedly expecting 5-Star QB commit Arch Manning on campus next weekend

This will be the first visit that Arch takes to Texas as a commit in the Longhorns 2023 class. The last time that Arch visited Texas was during his official visit to Austin back on the weekend of June 17.

It is also the first visit for Arch to the Forty Acres since he gave his commitment to Texas back on June 23.

Arch will be looking to get some recruiting done for the Longhorns with key targets of the 2023 and 2024 classes that will be visiting campus next weekend.

This should help to generate quite a buzz in Austin as this will be the last major visit weekend for the Longhorns before fall camp begins, specifically on Aug. 4. Texas is sure to have some big-time visit weekends early this fall, especially during the non-conference schedule.

But this late July Texas BBQ weekend will create another opportunity for Sark and the Longhorns staff to keep this insane wave of momentum going on the recruiting trail for the 2023 class through the latter stretch of the summer months.
