The continuously developing storyline of the saga surrounding redshirt freshman Texas football wide receiver Agiye Hall heading into the weekend kept on going late in the afternoon of Aug. 12. On the night of Aug. 11, it was first reported by Inside Texas that Hall was arrested for criminal mischief in Travis County.

This is reportedly a Class B Misdemeanor that can range in cost between $100 and $750.

Following the news of the arrest of Hall on Aug. 11, second-year Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian released a statement indicating that Hall was suspended indefinitely from the team. The statement from Sarkisian came about on the afternoon of Aug. 12.

But that statement from Sark announcing that Hall would be indefinitely suspended from the team wasn’t the end of this saga heading into the weekend.

After all this news came about on Aug. 12, Hall took to social media this afternoon to respond to a tweet about him and the Texas wide receiver room. The tweet he responded to read “Texas fans: our WR room is stupiddd” and that he “is about put the country on notice!! “.

Hall then responded to this tweet on the afternoon of Aug. 12 saying that they had been coming for his car since he got to campus.

And the reaction to Hall’s response on social media late this week wasn’t particularly favorable from the Longhorns faithful.

There were definitely some that took Hall’s side on this matter, though.

Moreover, Hall first arrived on campus as a new enrollee at Texas for the summer semester a couple of months ago. He transferred to Texas after spending one season playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide and head coach Nick Saban.

During his one season playing for the Crimson Tide, Hall registered four catches for 72 receiving yards (18.0 yards per catch) and no receiving touchdowns. Two of his four catches last season came in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against the Georgia Bulldogs.
