The visitor list grew for this weekend as head coach Steve Sarkisian and Texas football get set to take on head coach Terry Bowden and the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks out of the Sun Belt on Sep. 3. Some of the initial visitor lists were around a half-dozen recruits long. There are a couple of names of note for this weekend, though.

While Sark and the Longhorns don’t have near the same caliber of visitor list for this weekend against ULM as they do for next weekend in the big-time matchup against the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, there are still some important names to note on campus right now.

And one of the new additions to the visitor list that came just before gameday for the Longhorns is the elite five-star Allen edge rusher Zina Umeozulu. Multiple reports have confirmed that Umeozulu will actually be on campus in Austin for this weekend and next.

That means he will be in attendance when Texas faces both ULM and Alabama at home.

Cole Patterson of Rivals/Orangebloods was one source that reported Umeozulu will be in attendance in Austin for Texas vs. ULM on Sep. 3. Patterson also mentioned that Umeozulu has heard from multiple schools since the Sep. 1 contact window opened back up for 2024 recruits.

Hudson Standish of Horns247 also is keeping a running visitor list for the weekend, which reaffirms that Umeozulu will be in attendance for games in each of the first two weeks of the season for the Longhorns.

Moreover, Umeozulu is coming off a nice win with the Allen Eagles over Houston C.E. King and four-star Texas DL commit Dylan Spencer on Sep. 2. Allen downed C.E. King by the final score of 49-14.

Umeozulu’s brother, true freshman OL Neto Umeozulu, is a summer enrollee with the Longhorns that signed as part of the 2022 class.

Texas currently holds commits from three recruits in the 2024 class as of Sep. 3, with the latest coming from the touted four-star Houston Clear Lake wide receiver/athlete Hunter Moddon.

Sark and the Longhorns will kick off against ULM at home at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Sep. 3 at 7 p.m. CT.
