Live Updates: Week 1 Texas football vs. UL-Monroe
The first game of the season has arrived for head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program on the evening of Sep. 3. Texas will take on head coach Terry Bowden and the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks out of the Sun Belt under the lights at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Sep. 3, with the kickoff time set for 7 p.m. CT.
Sark and the Longhorns are heavy favorites in this meeting with ULM on Sep. 3. Texas will be looking to take advantage of this opportunity to start off the regular season on a high note against a four-win team from last season in the Warhawks.

5:04 p.m.: Sark and the Longhorns actually do wind up releasing a depth chart for the opener against the Warhawks. That comes after he declined to release a depth chart earlier this week following his first media availability ahead of Week 1.
A few surprises were delivered on this, including true freshman defensive back Jaylon Guilbeau being listed as the starter at spur along with junior Jahdae Barron. We also didn’t see a single true starter along the defensive line. Every single one of those players in the two-deep were listed with an OR next to their name.
And despite him dressing out for this game, redshirt freshman wide receiver Agiye Hall was not listed on the two-deep.

Senior cornerback D’Shawn Jamison blocks the ULM punt after the Warhawks stalled out on their first drive of the game. Redshirt junior running back Keilan Robinson picks it up for the score for the first touchdown of the season for the Longhorns.

Ewers throws his first career interception on the first drive of his career as a starter. He starts the season out 0-of-2 with one pick in his first drive.

ULM gets on the board with a field goal to cap a 34-yard drive after the Ewers pick.

Roschon Johnson notches his first rushing TD of the season on a 16-yard score.
