We heard from both Texas football head coach Steve Sarkisian and the head coach of the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide Nick Saban ahead of the big-time matchup between these two teams next weekend. Both Sark and Saban spoke on the matchup that the opposition poses in this high-stakes battle in Austin on Sep. 10.

Saban spoke on multiple players for the Longhorns in this press conference, along with the former assistants of his that are now on the Texas staff that he’ll face in Austin.

One interesting matter that Saban spoke on in his press conference on Sep. 5 was the threat that the star junior Texas running back Bijan Robinson poses this week. At one point, Saban mentioned that Bijan “can do everything”.

Here’s more on what Saban had to say about Bijan in his weekly press conference.

Alabama HC Nick Saban gives high marks to Texas football RB Bijan Robinson

"“He has got speed, he has got power. He is a very instinctive runner, sets up his blockers well, has a burst and has great hands, a good receiver. They use him a lot in the passing game. So this guy is as good of an all-around back as there probably is in the country — or he is certainly one of the best of all the guys in the country. His production really sort of shows that.”"

Saban clearly has respect for Bijan and some of the other big-time skill position players for the Longhorns ahead of this meeting between Texas and Alabama. He also noted what the likes of redshirt freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers and star sophomore wide receiver Xavier Worthy bring to the table for the Longhorns.

All in all, Saban gave props and respect to what Sark has done at Texas thus far since taking over as the head coach during the 2021 offseason. He also noted some of the bigger Texas players in this press conference such as Bijan and Ewers.
