We could be looking at the biggest weekend of the entire season as it pertains to the impact on the trail this fall for Texas football recruiting. With Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian set to host head coach Nick Saban and the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide at home at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Sep. 10, the staff is also readying for a massive visitor list for recruits that will be in attendance for this high-stakes matchup.

It looks like Sark and the Longhorns staff could be set to host a few dozen key targets of the 2023, 2024, and 2025 recruiting classes for the Texas-Alabama game this weekend. A few of these recruits that will be on campus for the Alabama game in the next few days will be on official visits.

The official visitors for the weekend will be targets of the Longhorns 2023 class.

We got an updated list (through the afternoon of Sep. 7) of unofficial and official visitors for the Texas-Alabama game this weekend, thanks to Inside Texas here (exclusive content).

Honorable mentions

Mikal Harrison Pilot (2023), WR

For the first time since his June official visit to Austin, four-star Temple wide receiver/athlete Mikal Harrison-Pilot will make the trip to Texas. This will also be the second Texas game that Harrison-Pilot has attended during Sark’s coaching regime.

It will be interesting to see if Texas is able to reel in a commitment from Harrison-Pilot if the decision of the four-star Longview wide receiver target Jalen Hale doesn’t fall in their favor.

Markis Deal (2023), DL

I firmly believe that Texas will be in a spot where the highly touted four-star Garland Naaman Forest defensive lineman Markis Deal is a take in the 2023 class. Deal is just too talented and helps Texas fill a spot of need in terms of depth in the 2023 class for him not to be a take this fall. Texas looks to be duking it out with the likes of the TCU Horned Frogs and Georgia Bulldogs among the top schools for Deal.

Colin Simmons (2024), EDGE

One of the top-rated offers for the Longhorns 2024 class as of this fall is the elite five-star Duncanville edge rusher Colin Simmons. The top-rated edge recruit in the 2024 class currently looks to be an LSU Tigers lean. But there is still plenty of time for the likes of Texas and the Oklahoma Sooners, among other top schools in Simmons’ recruitment, to reverse course.
