Micah Hudson (2024), WR

The other key 2024 recruit on this list that is worth watching this weekend in the midst of the battle between the Longhorns and Crimson Tide is the elite five-star Lake Belton wide receiver Micah Hudson.

There might not be a more important 2024 recruit among the visiting skill position prospects this weekend on campus than Hudson. I have a hard time finding a hotter 2024 wide receiver recruit this fall than this insanely talented and dangerous 6-foot and 190-pound in-state product.

Texas currently looks to be in a fight with some other in-state Power Five schools like the Baylor Bears, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and namely Texas A&M early on in the race to land a commitment from Hudson. He’s been on campus multiple times in College Station in the last few months and is set for another unofficial visit to see the Aggies on Sep. 17.

This recruitment could pretty easily turn into a real battle on the trail between Texas and Texas A&M.

New wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator has a strong relationship built with Hudson and his camp already. That has helped Texas find some early traction with Hudson, which is key given how strong of ties he already has with the Texas A&M staff.

This unofficial visit could be a great opportunity for Sark, Marion, and the Longhorns to make a really positive impression with Hudson at the same time that his stock is skyrocketing in the midst of his junior high school season. Hudson will be looking to start finding some schools that really stick out to him in the next few months, and Texas must make the most of having Hudson on campus for the first time since June.
