We are now less than 48 hours away from the kickoff of the high-stakes matchup this weekend between Texas football and the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian will face legendary head coach Nick Saban and Alabama as a pretty sizable underdog heading into Sep. 10.

The weather for the Texas-Alabama game this weekend in Austin actually doesn’t look like it will be too bad, at least compared to some of the heat around the city in the last few months. Texas could be playing Alabama on Sep. 10 with temperatures in the low-to-mid 90s, which is better than some of the common high temperatures in the 100s throughout the summer.

Moreover, one Austin weatherman, Avery Tomasco on CBS Austin, took it upon himself to take a jab at the Longhorns for the meeting with Alabama this weekend while giving the weather forecast for the game.

Tomasco said, “I’m expecting a flash flood warning t go into effect at 11 AM on Saturday in Austin”. He followed that up with a message saying that “a mix of Longhorn sweat and tears will lead to rapidly rising water levels in DKR” and that Texas should “turn around” and not play Alabama.

This post on social media from Tomasco definitely created quite a stir in the replies.

But that was clearly his intention with this post.

According to his Twitter bio, Tomasco is a graduate of Texas A&M University that now lives and works in Austin. That makes more sense as it pertains to seeing an Austin weatherman attempt this sort of troll job on social media before the big-time game at DKR this weekend.
