For the second straight week, Texas football fans might have to wait until right before the kickoff in their game to figure out what the two-deep depth chart will look like. As Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian readies up to face his former boss and legendary Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban this weekend, we don’t have a two-deep depth chart yet to work off of.

This will leave the Longhorns faithful guessing a little bit at what the two-deep will look like in the biggest non-conference game of the regular season, by a mile. With that said, we do have a good idea of what the depth chart could look like in bits and pieces from the rotation that Sark and his staff showed in the regular season-opening win last weekend at home over the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.

Predicting the two-deep for Texas football vs. Alabama

We are sure to see plenty of young players getting reps on both sides of the ball again this week. There were more underclassmen than upperclassmen that got key reps last weekend against the Warhawks. We could be in for something similar against the Tide on Sep. 10.

Texas heads into this meeting with Alabama sporting a record of 1-0 (0-0 Big 12) following their convincing 52-10 win over ULM at home on Sep. 3. Meanwhile, Alabama comes into this game sporting a record of 1-0 (0-0 SEC) after their dominant 55-0 win over the Utah State Aggies at home on Sep. 3.

With that in mind, here’s a look at how the two-deep depth chart could shake out on each side of the ball for the Longhorns against Alabama in this highly anticipated game on Sep. 10.
