Another potential backup option for the Longhorns in the 2023 class ahead of signing day among current Nebraska commits is four-star Vivian North Caddo (LA) wide receiver Omarion Miller. The blue-chip Louisiana wideout committed to the Huskers during the summer.

Yet, following the firing of Frost a couple of weeks ago, it looks like there will be plenty of other options for Miller to explore elsewhere. LSU, Arkansas, Mississippi State, etc. could all still be interested in Miller’s services now that Frost is out the door in Lincoln.

The factor to watch in Miller’s recruitment moving forward will be what happens with Nebraska interim head coach Mickey Joseph. Miller has the strongest relationship on that staff with Joseph. And depending on who the next hire is to replace Frost as the head coach, Joseph might be looking elsewhere for a job too next offseason.

If Joseph isn’t at Nebraska anymore, I would imagine that Miller will be a lot more inclined to pursue other schools.

In that scenario, Miller could make for an intriguing prospect for Sark, new wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Brennan Marion, and the Longhorns.

This would be another situation where I think Miller could be a backup option for the Longhorns to fill the final wide receiver spot in the 2023 class. He likely profiles as an outside receiver in college, given his 6-foot-2 and 190-pound frame along with his ability to high-point the ball in contested situations.
