3 2023 WR recruits Texas football can flip from other schools
Jaden Greathouse
Probably the least likely flip on this list for Marion, Sark, and the Longhorns at the wide receiver position in the 2023 class is the touted four-star Austin Westlake wide receiver Jaden Greathouse. This local product committed to head coach Marcus Freeman and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish back in mid-July.
But Texas hasn’t stopped staying in communication with Greathouse since he committed to Notre Dame a couple of months ago either.
As is the case with Parker, it really looked like there was a point in time when Texas sat in a great position with Greathouse. But I just don’t believe anything ever materialized that was enough for Greathouse to pick Texas over Notre Dame.
Greathouse looks like a good fit in this offense as a natural outside receiver. And he could provide some real depth on the outside to help round out the wide receiver recruiting in the 2023 class. You have to like what Texas could have in store among the outside receivers in the 2023 class between Greathouse and the four-star Spring Dekaney product Jonah Wilson.
So far this fall, Texas has kept the communication open with Greathouse. And this staff will keep pushing to get him back to the Forty Acres as much as possible until he puts pen to paper on signing day.
While I don’t think there’s too much interest from Greathouse to flip from Notre Dame, that won’t stop Texas from pushing to flip his commitment until the wide receiver recruiting in the 2023 class is done.
Mike Roach of Horns247 definitely thinks that Texas will still keep pushing for Greathouse this fall, no matter the chances of flipping his commitment.
