3 2023 WR recruits Texas football can flip from other schools
DeAndre Moore
The most high-profile wide receiver target on the board at the moment for the Longhorns 2023 class is the highly touted four-star St. John Bosco (CA) product and Louisville Cardinals commit DeAndre Moore. Texas was once in contact often with Moore, prior to him committing to Louisville late in the spring.
But some of the struggles that head coach Scott Satterfield and the Cardinals found early in the season have seemingly opened the door for Sark, Marion, and the Longhorns to swoop in and generate some interest with Moore and his camp. Since Hale committed to the Tide back on Sep. 21, there was plenty of smoke surrounding Texas and Moore.
Between Texas getting an official visit on the books with Moore for later this fall, and the elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback commit Arch Manning putting the pressure on the California product, I like where Texas sits right now. There is certainly a real possibility that Texas could continue to make progress in the quest to flip Moore’s commitment this fall.
I firmly believe that Moore is the top wide receiver target on the board for the Longhorns 2023 class at the moment. He is also likely the best option that Texas has to fill out the final spot at wideout in the 2023 class this fall. There really isn’t a whole lot of drop-off either between what Hale and Moore bring to the table at the wide receiver position.
