10 key recruits impressed by Texas football’s dominant win over OU
Landon Rink, EDGE
Among the rising 2025 edge rushers that are on the board early for the Longhorns 2025 class is the 6-foot-2 and 250-pound Cy-Fair product Landon Rink. One of the first edge rusher offers to go out for the 2025 recruiting cycle, Rink is an important early target for this Longhorns class.
Rink was on campus for a whopping four unofficial visits to Austin in 2022. And it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest to see him get on campus at least one or two more times before the turn of the calendar year.
Rink reportedly said after this game that “Texas looks amazing against a good Oklahoma team”. He also said that Ewers is “100% that guy” and the “defense is firing on all cylinders”.
Deuce Adams, QB
A possible priority target for the Longhorns 2024 class at the quarterback position is the rising New Braunfels Canyon product Deuce Adams. Although Texas has yet to officially offer Adams, there does seem to be a lot of interest between the two sides at this point of the fall.
Adams visited Texas unofficially for the first game weekend at DKR on Sep. 17 for the win over UTSA. He also had two other unofficial visits during the 2022 offseason.
It sounds like Texas made a real impression on Adams with this dominant win over Oklahoma. He reportedly said that he “definitely saw this coming with Ewers coming back” and that “Sark’s offense is flames”.
