Micah Hudson, WR

The wideout that I would argue is the top priority at the position in the Longhorns 2024 class early on is the elite five-star Lake Belton product Micah Hudson. Texas A&M seemingly found some real momentum on the recruiting trail with Hudson and his camp this fall. But Texas likely made a big move with some of the recent performances from this squad, especially in Red River.

It should help that Hudson was in attendance at the Cotton Bowl this weekend for Texas’ win over Oklahoma. He reportedly said that “the experience was good” and that “everybody for Texas was touching the ball and the play calls were really good”.

I think it is especially notable that Hudson stated that “I had to come in an OU recruit but I came in my Texas shirt”.

It’s hard for me to find a better way for this visit to go on the Texas side of the discussion coming out of Red River weekend with Hudson.

Parker Livingstone, WR

Another key wideout recruit that was in attendance at Red River this weekend was the three-star 2024 Lovejoy product and teammate of LSU Tigers four-star wideout commit Kyle Parker, Parker Livingstone.

The fact that Parker and Livingstone are both part of the same receiving corps just goes to show how loaded Lovejoy is at the position.

But the fact of the matter is that it sounds like Texas is viewed in a very positive light right now by Livingstone. He kept it simple, just saying “Hook’em” after this win over Oklahoma. Texas keeps finding ways to make moves with Livingstone despite him not making it to campus yet this fall for a visit to Austin during a game weekend. I would be watching out for that potential occurrence in the near future, though.
