On Nov. 7, Texas basketball and head coach Chris Beard will open up the 2022-23 regular season at home at the shiny new Moody Center in Austin against the UTEP Miners out of Conference-USA. Texas will be looking to build on its success from last season, where the program got its first Round of 64 win in the NCAA Tournament in nearly a decade.

Beard and the Longhorns beat the 11-seed Virginia Tech Hokies in the Round of 64 last season before falling short to the three-seed Purdue Boilermakers in the Round of 32.

The elevated success that Texas found in the postseason in Year 1 under Beard will raise expectations heading into this season.

And the Longhorns will be able to show what it can do this season starting on Nov. 7 against UTEP. Texas opens up this campaign at home in front of what should be a great atmosphere at the Moody Center against UTEP, with the tip-off time set for 8 p.m. CT.

The season opener will be broadcast live on Longhorn Network.
