For the third straight game, Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian will face a top-25 ranked opponent when it faces the undefeated TCU Horned Frogs on Nov. 12. Texas will host TCU at home at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in a night game on Nov. 12, with the kickoff time set for 6:30 p.m.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns will have an opportunity to set themselves as one of the two teams on pace to get a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game if they can top TCU this weekend.

And considering that Texas opened up as a touchdown favorite over the Horned Frogs for Week 11, the opportunity will definitely be there for this team to win its second straight game.

It’s worth noting that both the Longhorns and Horned Frogs come into this game with a relatively clean bill of health. Neither TCU nor Texas is very banged up, at least compared to some of the other teams around the Big 12.

But there are still some injuries worth noting for the Horned Frogs heading into this game that could have an impact this week. Here’s a look at three injured TCU players ahead of the matchup against Texas in Week 11.

Max Duggan, QB

It’s worth noting that what will likely be the least significant of the injuries on this list is the lower-body issue that senior TCU quarterback Max Duggan was dealing with of late.

In TCU’s win over the West Virginia Mountaineers a couple of weeks ago, the announcers mentioned that Duggan was dealing with a calf issue. He didn’t miss any snaps, though, despite Chandler Morris getting warmed up on the sideline at one point in that game.

At no point in the last few games did Duggan truly look to be unable to take live-game reps for the Frogs. He’s essentially taken all the relevant quarterback reps for the Frogs in the last few games.

Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports did tweet out a couple of weeks ago that Duggan was “apparently limited by an injured calf” when TCU faced the Mountaineers on Oct. 29.

It will be worth watching what happens with Duggan this weekend if TCU limits the number of designed runs against the Longhorns.
