Among the highest-rated priority recruits remaining on the board for the Longhorns 2023 class this fall is the elite five-star Denton Ryan linebacker Anthony Hill.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex-area product is now firmly on the Longhorns radar after he de-committed from the rival Texas A&M Aggies on Nov. 7. On the same day, Hill re-opened his recruitment and the news dropped that he would be visiting unofficially for the Texas-TCU game this weekend.

Texas kept chipping away at Hill’s commitment to Texas A&M in the last few months. And those efforts with Hill on the recruiting trail in the last few months finally paid dividends with him re-opening his recruitment a couple of days ago.

And given the fact that Hill announced a top two of Texas and Texas A&M prior to committing to the Aggies late in the summer, it looks like the door is wide open for the Longhorns to make one last big move in the race to seal the deal with Hill.

If Texas can reel in a commitment from Hill, that should be enough to round out the recruiting at the position in the 2023 class. Hill would give Texas a clear immediate impact linebacker to replace whatever pieces this team loses at the position next offseason.

Moreover, Hill looks to be firmly trending to Texas this week. Texas is in a great spot to lock down this recruitment starting this weekend if this team looks good on the field against the Horned Frogs at DKR on Nov. 12.
