One of the biggest weekends on the trail lies ahead in less than 24 hours concerning Texas football recruiting in the 2023 and 2024 classes. Texas is set to host a massive list of visitors that could make up a good portion of the 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes when it’s all said and done when head coach Steve Sarkisian’s team hosts the No. 4 ranked TCU Horned Frogs at home at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Nov. 12.

No. 18 Texas hosting the undefeated and top-five ranked Horned Frogs will be a massive draw in Austin this weekend. And even among the priority recruits for the Longhorns that won’t be in attendance in Austin for the Texas-TCU game on Nov. 12, the result of this affair will be tremendously impactful on the trail for both programs still.

But there is another factor that should work in the Longhorns’ favor on the recruiting trail this weekend.

It looks like Texas will have the top-ranked recruit in the nation for the 2023 class in attendance for the TCU game. Multiple reports (including Inside Texas) indicate that Texas will be hosting the elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback commit Arch Manning visiting unofficially for the TCU game on Nov. 12.

This will be Arch’s first visit to Texas since the win over the Iowa State Cyclones at home at DKR on Oct. 15. It will also be the second time that Arch has visited Texas for a game at DKR this fall.

It is sure to create even more buzz surrounding the Longhorns on the recruiting trail this weekend that the foundational commit in the 2023 class, Arch, will be present for this high-stakes Big 12 contest.

Arch has put in some good work on the recruiting trail of late, including helping Texas flip the commitment of the highly touted four-star Austin Westlake edge rusher Colton Vasek from the Oklahoma Sooners earlier this week.

Texas is now up to 21 commits in the 2023 class after flipping Vasek from the Sooners on Nov. 9. A good portion of the commits to the Longhorns 2023 class will be in attendance for the Texas-TCU game this weekend, now including Arch and Vasek.
