ESPN College GameDay’s Lee Corso picks Texas football over TCU

For the second time this season, the set of ESPN College GameDay was in Austin for a high-stakes game involving Texas football. In Week 11, College GameDay was in Austin to for the highly anticipated Big 12 showdown between No. 18 ranked Texas and the No. 4 ranked TCU Horned Frogs.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns got most of the picks from the College GameDay crew in their favor on Nov. 12. Out of the six predictions from the College GameDay crew on this day, four went in favor of the Longhorns.

That included the guest-picker, famous Longhorn golf alum Jordan Spieth, giving the edge to Texas by double-digits.

But one of the pickers that were used to seeing on the College GameDay set, Lee Corso, was absent for the fifth straight week. The College GameDay crew provided an update (write-up courtesy of Saturday Down South) saying that Corso is “still recuperating” for the last few weeks.

Despite his absence, we still got to hear what Corso’s pick would be if he was present on the College GameDay set this weekend.

Kirk Herbstreit mentioned that he heard from Corso that his pick was Texas over TCU for this game. Corso joined Pat McAfee, Spieth, and The Bear as the portion of the College GameDay crew that predicted the Longhorns to take down the Horned Frogs.

And we really got to see McAfee getting the Texas faithful riled up in Austin when he was talking about how much he liked the city and when he predicted the Longhorns to beat the Frogs by double digits.

That left Desmond Howard and David Pollack as the two pickers that favored the Horned Frogs over the Longhorns for Week 11.

Texas carries a record of 6-3 (4-2 Big 12) into this matchup against 9-0 (6-0 Big 12) TCU on Nov. 12. The kickoff time between Texas and TCU is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on Nov. 12 at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.
