A loss that will be a tough one to swallow for No. 18 ranked Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian saw the No. 4 ranked and undefeated TCU Horned Frogs take care of business on the night of Nov. 12. Texas couldn’t muster anything on offense as redshirt freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers was completely flat for the entire game.
Sark and the Longhorns fell short to TCU by the final score of 17-10 in an absolute slog of a game on Nov. 12 at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.
Texas didn’t show out when it needed to in this game. The offense only came up with three points as the lone touchdown for the Longhorns came from junior defensive back Jahdae Barron on a scoop and score late in the fourth quarter.
Here’s a look at the fan and media reaction on social media in this sluggish 17-10 loss for the Longhorns to the Horned Frogs in Week 11.
Social media reactions to Steve Sarkisian and Texas football falling short to TCU
Texas defense was on the field all night credit to them. Sarkisian has a lot of questions to answer that was one of the worst offensive performances I’ve ever seen at DKR

This is a fair point.
Steve Sarkisian gets a F tonight. Total flop. Instead of one half this time, it was all game. Not even close to good enough. #HookEm

Ewers is going through a lot of freshman type struggles in Big 12 play this season.

The Sark memes are coming in hot right now, and rightly so.
The fourth-ranked team in the country came to Austin and took care of business.. no matter how unsightly the game was overall. The Longhorns had their chances but just couldn't muster any momentum in this one. #HookEm

As much respect as I have for TCU, there isn’t a luckier team ranked in the top four in college football right now.
He’s a Freshman who Skipped out on his senior Yr…if you skip on a chance to Grow it will eventually show…Ewers went away from his read entirely to early on a designed play to Bijan

Robinson down the side line for 6..with all that being said he still have a chance to be great https://t.co/ENMpxrHEKs
Dez Bryant makes a lot of sense here. Ewers missing some reads but just making freshman mistakes when it comes down to it.
Buddy, Sark better cling to Arch Manning like the final life raft b/c if Arch decommits, hoo boy, the pitch forks are gonna be out... #LiveMas pic.twitter.com/5UYOaTSBRm

This was not the performance you wanted in front of so many important recruits, like Arch Manning and Anthony Hill.
The loss to TCU moves Texas to 6-4 (4-3 Big 12) on the season. Texas’ chances to make the Big 12 Championship Game are slim to none at this point. Next up for Sark and the Longhorns is a road trip to Lawrence on Nov. 19 to face the Kansas Jayhawks.
