2 injured Texas football players that should be available vs. Kansas
Injuries aren’t a huge concern for head coach Steve Sarkisian and Texas football heading into Week 12, which is a nice change of pace for this team. Texas looks to be pretty healthy on both sides of the ball heading into this Week 12 contest on the road in Lawrence against the Kansas Jayhawks and head coach Lance Leipold.
The injury headline that is the most significant for this week’s matchup between Texas and Kansas has to do with the Jayhawks’ quarterback room. Kansas has injury issues prevalent with both junior quarterback Jalon Daniels and redshirt senior Jason Bean.
Daniels hasn’t played any live-game snaps since he suffered an upper-body injury on Oct. 8 against the TCU Horned Frogs. But it looks like he could return for the Jayhawks this weekend against the Longhorns in Lawrence.
Meanwhile, Bean took a hit to the midsection in Kansas’ loss to the Texas Tech Red Raiders last weekend in the fourth quarter and wasn’t able to return to the game. He was limited in practice some this week.

Moreover, Texas has dealt with some injury issues in the secondary in the last few weeks. Multiple starters, or at least core rotation players in the defensive backfield, have missed time due to varying injury issues in the last few games.
A lot of those issues do appear to be clearing up heading into Week 12.
Which players that have dealt with injuries lately should be ready to go for the Longhorns against the Jayhawks on the road on Nov. 19?
