What could go down as one of the craziest Big 12 football games of the 2022 season saw the No. 4 ranked TCU Horned Frogs and new head coach Sonny Dykes stay undefeated against their rival, the Baylor Bears, on Nov. 19. TCU was pushed to literally the last second by head coach Dave Aranda and the Bears on the afternoon of Nov. 19.

Baylor was nearly able to pull the upset. But then, senior TCU quarterback Max Duggan and that high-powered Horned Frogs offense got a big late push. TCU scored nine points down the stretch in the fourth quarter to top Baylor by the razor-thin final score of 29-28.

TCU got a crazy last-second field goal to beat Baylor, which senior kicker Griffin Kell knocked through with zeros on the clock. This was definitely some redemption for Kell, who missed an extra-point attempt earlier in the game.

You can see that wild final play that saw Kell knock through a 40-yard field goal to beat Baylor by one point here.

That was the lone field goal make of the day for Kell, who was pretty efficient on the season heading into this game for the Horned Frogs. He had only missed one field goal and one extra-point attempt on the season coming into Week 12.

Moreover, TCU was able to drive the ball 45 yards down the field in just 90 seconds to setup the game-winning field goal try. TCU certainly cut this one close, though, as Duggan and the Frog offense left only a few seconds on the board with no timeouts once Kell and the special teams unit was able to come out on the field and attempt the 40-yard field goal.

TCU got the snap off with around four seconds left on the game clock to make this game-winning field goal.

The 29-28 win for TCU over Baylor moves the Horned Frogs to a spotless 11-0 (8-0 Big 12) on the season. Meanwhile, Baylor is now sporting a record of 6-5 (4-4 Big 12) with two straight losses. Next up for the Horned Frogs as it looks to finish up the regular season undefeated is a matchup against the stingy Iowa State Cyclones at home on Nov. 26.
