Bijan Robinson stakes his claim as the best RB in college football
I actually don’t believe that this part of the list of overreactions is all that bold. Saying that Bijan is the best running back in college football is something that can be backed up at this point of the season, especially after his massive day on Nov. 19 in the win over Kansas.
Coming out of Week 12, Bijan is now the only player in college football to have at least 1,400 rushing yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, and two receiving touchdowns (per Sports Reference).
Bijan is also the Big 12 leader in rushing touchdowns along with ranking second in the FBS in total yards from scrimmage, fourth in total touchdowns from scrimmage, and sixth in rushing yards.

Just one week after Bijan was shut down in a way that he had never been in the last few seasons in Texas’ sluggish loss to TCU at home on Nov. 12, he showed the entire college football world how special he truly is. Bijan essentially dominated Kansas single-handedly.

And this is something that he is seemingly doing every time he faces one of the Kansas schools in his career. He had previously set a career mark in single-game rushing yards a few weeks ago, with 208 rushing yards, in Texas’ win over Kansas State on the road.

2. Elijah Green (UNC), 83.9
T-2. DJ Giddens (KSU), 83.9
4. Jase McClellan (BAMA), 82.7
T-4. Kenny McIntosh (UGA), 82.7 pic.twitter.com/r7eiL6tiYw
For his efforts in Week 12, Bijan topped the list of the highest-graded Power Five running backs. And it wasn’t really close, with the next-highest-graded Power Five running back ringing in a few points in terms of rushing grade behind Bijan for Week 12.
To sum this up, this weekend definitely proved that Bijan is the best running back in college football. It’s just a shame that he probably won’t get his due since Texas has struggled at times this season with four losses on the year.
