Another potential landing spot for Omeire if he wants to stay close to home, and still get a shot to compete at the Power Five level, could be with new head coach Sonny Dykes and the TCU Horned Frogs. TCU actually makes sense on a few different levels for Omeire.

First and foremost, TCU is another coaching staff that Omeire should have some level of familiarity. While Dykes wasn’t the Frogs’ head coach when they offered Omeire out of high school, there are some assistants on this staff that do have past connections with the former blue-chip recruit.

TCU WR coach Malcolm Kelly was one of the leading recruiters for the Horned Frogs when they offered Omeire in the 2020 class. And unless Kelly leaves for another job this coming offseason, it would make sense that Omeire would want to reunite with a familiar coach from his past.

Secondly, this TCU offense proved to be one of the best in the Power Five during the regular season. A plethora of different TCU wideouts were getting the chance to make plays in the passing game on a regular basis.

And with TCU likely set to lose star junior outside receiver Quentin Johnston to the NFL Draft in 2023, there will be an opening for that boundary spot next season.

We’ve also seen a couple of former Texas players and commits at the skill positions in the last few years. Former Texas tight end Jared Wiley was useful for the Frogs this season, and we all know what the former UT commit Johnston did on the field in the last couple of seasons.

Dykes and the Horned Frogs proved to be a match made in heaven in his first year at the helm as head coach. If TCU is looking for help at wide receiver this coming offseason, then Omeire might be one of the players they offer in the near future.
