Oklahoma State

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are potentially seeking quarterback help in the portal this coming offseason thanks to Sanders leaving the program earlier in the week. Sanders was the starting quarterback in Stillwater for the last four seasons, so a very notable era in the recent history of this program is now coming to an end.

Moreover, Oklahoma State will be one of the more appealing potential quarterback landing spots out of the portal this coming offseason. That is as long as head coach Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys, as long as they can figure out the offensive coordinator situation.

Oklahoma State offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Kasey Dunn seems to be in hot water following a sluggish end to the regular season for the Pokes’ offense.

But if a change is made at offensive coordinator this coming offseason, Oklahoma State could immediately turn into one of the more attractive destinations for some of the better quarterbacks that enter the portal as part of the 2023 class.

And one of the quarterbacks that could be a nice fit with Gundy and the Pokes is Leary.

Oklahoma State has the talent in place on offense to get Leary the supporting cast he needs to succeed in his final year of eligibility. It looks like the Pokes will be returning former blue-chip recruit and to-be sophomore running back Ollie Gordon, junior wide receiver Brennan Presley, and sophomores Jaden Bray and Bryson Green in 2023.

All in all, there are two Big 12 landing spots that I could realistically see coming to fruition for Leary this coming offseason. Oklahoma State is one of them considering how good this team could be with the right quarterback leading the way next season.
