Currently pledged to Louisville

If there was one wide receiver that I had to pick that Texas is definitely favored to flip, it is the uber-talented four-star Louisville Cardinals commit/St. John Bosco product DeAndre Moore Jr.

In the last couple of weeks, Texas has made the most noise in the race to flip Moore’s commitment from Louisville. After Louisville parted ways with the now-former head coach Scott Satterfield, it looked as if Texas and the Georgia Bulldogs were really pushing to flip Moore’s commitment.

The departure of Satterfield could be the final nail in the coffin for Moore as he looks to possibly de-commit from Louisville in the coming days. It already seemed as if Moore was going to end up flipping from Louisville before Satterfield was let go. The chances of him parting ways with Louisville are now even higher than they were beforehand.

Texas was able to make a big impression on Moore during his official visit to Austin last month, despite the loss to the TCU Horned Frogs on the weekend that he was on campus.

And it even sounds like Texas could be getting Moore to campus for a big-time visit weekend in Austin a few days down the road. If Moore does wind up showing up in Austin this coming weekend, I would imagine that would be the final piece to the puzzle for Marion and the Longhorns to flip his commitment from Louisville.

It’s worth noting that Georgia is very much still hanging around in this recruitment. It wouldn’t surprise me very much if Georgia does end up being the destination for Moore when it’s all said and done. But if I had to pick right now, I would definitely say that Texas is the school with momentum in the race to sign Moore.
