The highest priority among the remaining wide receiver targets for the Longhorns 2023 class is the potent and highly touted four-star Louisville Cardinals commit/St. John Bosco product DeAndre Moore Jr. The long-time Louisville commit is likely going to end up elsewhere by the time the first signing day arrives, though.

Since the departure of the now-former Louisville head coach Scott Satterfield, it looks like Moore is very likely to wind up either at Texas or Georgia. Louisville and new head coach Jeff Brohm are still pushing to retain the commitment of Moore. But I don’t know how confident we can be in Louisville’s retention efforts in the last couple of weeks.

It is worth noting, though, that Brohm and some of the Louisville staff were in attendance for the state title game with St. John Bosco last weekend (per Adam Gorney of Rivals.com). It looks like Louisville is still putting the full-court press on Moore, and the same could be said for Sark, wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Brennan Marion, and the Longhorns staff.

With Moore likely to make a final decision during the Early Signing Period, this recruitment will definitely be one of the most highly-anticipated among the blue-chip prospects on flip watch. Texas and Georgia both feel good about their positions in this recruitment. And Louisville will keep pushing through the whistle with Moore.
