Texas Football: 3 best transfer landing spots for WR Agiye Hall
Florida Atlantic
One of the more interesting possible landing spots for Hall out of the portal is with a program closer to home for the former blue-chip recruit. It would be very intriguing if there was interest coming from former Texas head coach Tom Herman and the Florida Atlantic Owls in the next couple of months.
Herman’s staff recruited Hall pretty hard when he was still employed on the Forty Acres a few years ago. And there is another very relevant past connection worth mentioning here that could draw some interest for Hall to Florida Atlantic.
FAU still has associate head coach and outside linebackers coach Raymond Woodie on staff. Granted, that could be in flux given some of the head coaching buzz surrounding him at the moment and the turnover process as Herman get his guys in place in Boca Raton.
It’s worth noting, though, that Woodie was one of the leading recruiters on staff with the Florida State Seminoles when they were one of the top in-state schools recruiting Hall out of high school.
All in all, there is a lot that makes sense regarding FAU as a potential landing spot for Hall out of the portal. There are some coaches with that he has relevant connections from past recruitments and FAU could be a spot closer to home to help him get his career on the right track.
I don’t doubt that the Power Five options could be thinner at this point of Hall’s career after already entering the portal twice in as many years. Thus, the Group of Five might be the spot where Hall has the most options available to him this coming offseason.
