How to watch Texas basketball vs. Oklahoma State: TV/stream, game time
In the first game since head coach Chris Beard was officially relieved of his duties with the Texas basketball program, acting head coach Rodney Terry and his squad will travel to Stillwater to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys on the road on Jan. 7. Texas will be looking to right the ship after a pretty embarrassing defensive performance on Jan. 3 when it faces Oklahoma State in Stillwater this weekend.
Terry and the Longhorns were downed by the Kansas State Wildcats and first-year head coach Jerome Tang at home at the Moody Center in Austin behind a poor defensive performance on Jan. 3. Kansas State put up a record-breaking 116 points in the 13-point loss for the Longhorns at the Moody earlier this week.
The double-digit loss to Kansas State puts Texas at a mark of 12-2 (1-1 Big 12) on the season.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma State comes into this game with a record of 9-5 (1-1 Big 12) after taking down the West Virginia Mountaineers at home at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater on Jan. 2 by the final score of 67-60. Oklahoma State looked pretty formidable to start conference play, including nearly pulling off the upset on the road at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence on Dec. 31 against the No. 4 Kansas Jayhawks.
Here’s a look at the TV/streaming information and game time as Texas gets set to hit the road to face Oklahoma State at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater on Jan. 7.

Texas vs. Oklahoma State preview
Oklahoma State is a gritty team that essentially plays everyone close. Whether it be Kansas on the road or UT-Arlington and/or Southern Illinois at home, head coach Mike Boynton and the Pokes have proven this season that they play up and down to the competition.
What that means for the Longhorns is another tough challenge against a good team from the gauntlet that is the Big 12 slate.
Texas and Oklahoma State split the season series last year. Oklahoma State got the best of Texas by a double-digit margin in Stillwater last season. But the Longhorns responded with a five-point win in Austin to even up the season series with the Pokes.
Without a doubt, this is going to be one of the taller tasks of any road game this season. GIA has always presented Texas with a tough environment to play in. Oklahoma State has won two in a row against Texas in Stillwater and 10 of the last 12.
