If Texas needs to find another portal option at the wide receiver position, then a good target to turn to upon the window closing in the middle of this week is the former Marshall Thundering Herd redshirt junior Corey Gammage. The 6-foot-4 and 220-pound fourth-year boundary wideout was tremendous at Marshall in the last two seasons.

Gammage registered more than 1,600 receiving yards on 130 catches with eight receiving touchdowns in the last two seasons combined at Marshall. He is a pretty dangerous receiver that has a large catch radius and can make things happen after the catch.

In the last two seasons, Gammage has more than two dozen missed tackles forced and more than 700 yards after the catch. Both of those stats are good for top 10 among Group of Five wide receivers since the start of the 2021 campaign.

Gammage is probably going to wind up being one of the best Group of Five wideouts that surfaces in the portal throughout the entire offseason.

Going after Gammage would be a move for the Longhorns to consider in the portal in case something doesn’t work out with the final player on this list. Otherwise, Texas is pretty loaded at boundary receiver, including the returning redshirt sophomore wide receiver and former Wyoming Cowboy Isaiah Neyor.
