The biggest new addition to the Texas football program via the early enrollees from the 2023 recruiting class this month is the former elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning. The top-ranked recruit in Texas’ 2023 signing class arrived on campus a couple of weeks ago for the spring semester.

And it didn’t take long for some footage to surface of Arch tossing the ball around with one of his new teammates. The former four-star St. John Bosco (CA) wide receiver recruit and freshman early enrollee DeAndre Moore Jr. posted on his Instagram story on Jan. 21 a video of him catching some balls from Arch in “The Bubble”.

Arch put some nice touch on the deep ball that we did see to an uncovered Moore that ran into the end zone. It clearly looks like Arch’s arm talent is on full display not too long after he arrived on campus for his first semester in college.

Texas football true freshmen Arch Manning and DeAndre Moore Jr. get to work on Jan. 21

We’ve seen Arch make some impressive throws at Newman very frequently in the last couple of years. But it’s nice to see him now doing this as a student on the Forty Acres.

It’s also nice to see Moore and Manning getting their connection in the passing game going this quickly after each early enrollee arrived on campus.

This is a good look for the Longhorns, which is hosting a massive visitor list from the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes for Junior Day this weekend. Seeing two of the blue-chip recruits from the Longhorns 2023 class getting to work has to make a positive impression on some of these big-time visiting recruits on Jan. 21.

Next. 3 transfer departures that never lived up to the hype. dark

Manning committed to the Longhorns last summer after an official visit to Austin in June. And Texas wound up flipping Moore from the Louisville Cardinals in the midst of the Early Signing Period last month.
