In less than 12 hours, the festivities of the regular signing period will take place as the 2023 Texas football recruiting class will look to put the finishing touches in place. It looks like head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff could have a couple more tricks up their sleeve before it’s all said and done for this recruiting cycle in terms of going after high school prospects.

Texas currently holds commitments from 24 high school recruits in the 2023 class as of the night of Jan. 31. All of the 24 high school recruits committed to the Longhorns 2023 class already signed on the dotted line during the Early Signing Period last month.

According to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, the 2023 Texas recruiting class ranks at No. 3 in the nation and in the top spot in the Big 12 ahead of the Oklahoma Sooners ahead of the late signing period.

Prediction where 5-Star TE Duce Robinson and the top 2023 Texas football recruits will land during the late signing period

We could see a little bit more movement with the Longhorns 2023 class before it’s all said and done on the late signing day on Feb. 1. With that in mind, here’s a look at a prediction of every landing spot for the key remaining Texas targets heading into the late signing day.

Jaden Hamlin, DL

There were a couple of defensive line targets that emerged for the Longhorns late in this cycle as DL coach Bo Davis still appears to be looking to add some depth to this position group in the 2023 class. Two of the looks that the Longhorns gave late in this cycle were to the fast-rising three-star Lawrence Country defensive lineman Jonathan Davis and unranked Southwest Mississippi C.C. defensive lineman Jaden Hamlin.

The 6-foot-4 and 305-pound Alabama native, Hamlin, is someone that surfaced on Texas’ radar in the last few weeks. He appeared to be another option that Davis and the Longhorns were looking into after offering Davis back in mid-January.

A report from Justin Wells of Inside Texas on Jan. 30 (paid content) indicates that Texas is willing to play the patient game along the defensive line in the 2023 class. Texas is fine waiting at least a couple of months past the late National Signing Day on Feb. 1 to ultimately determine if another body is needed along the defensive line.

I would imagine that Hamlin continues to remain on the board as a possibility for Davis and the Longhorns in the 2023 class as we head into spring ball in a couple of months. Meanwhile, it looks as if Davis is trending to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who offered him very shortly after Texas a few weeks ago.

Verdict: 25 percent chance he ultimately lands at Texas during the summer semester
