Arch Manning, QB

It obviously goes without saying that the most highly-anticipated arrival among the signees in the Longhorns 2023 class this semester was that of the former elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback recruit Arch Manning.

There will be a bright spotlight on Arch throughout 2023. And it already started with the whole lost ID situation he dealt with on a couple of occasions early in his time on campus.

We’ve heard a lot of positive returns in the last few weeks regarding the immediate impression that Arch made on quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee and some other staffers within the program. He apparently got down to work right away and was already seen in self-driven throwing drills around campus within his first four or five weeks in Austin.

The work ethic surely is being put on display for Arch early in winter workouts.

The insanely-highly-touted true freshman quarterback also is reportedly taking a “business-minded” approach to his transition to college life. That has translated both in terms of his work ethic in winter conditioning and his effort to get down to work on his own time.

The update from TFB Texas even noted that Arch and rising redshirt sophomore quarterback Quinn Ewers have taken part in some throwing sessions together in the last month or so. Arch is clearly serious about getting down to work right away and proving what he can do from the very get-go since arriving on campus last month.
