How to watch Texas baseball vs. Indiana: TV/stream, game time
Head coach David Pierce and Texas baseball will get back to action on the diamond at the friendly confines of UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin on Feb. 24 against the Indiana Hoosiers out of the Big Ten. Texas will host Indiana at the Disch for a three-game weekend series that starts on Friday evening.
Pierce and the Longhorns come into this matchup against Indiana sporting a record of 1-3 (0-0 Big 12) following their first win of the regular season at the Disch on Feb. 21 over the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders. Texas topped Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at home earlier this week by the dominant final score of 12-2.
That was a much-needed first win of the season for the Longhorns after they went winless at the College Baseball Showdown in Arlington, TX, last weekend to open up the 2023 slate.
Meanwhile, Indiana comes into this weekend series against Texas with a record of 2-2 (0-0 Big Ten) after defeating the Miami (OH) Redhawks at home in Bloomington on Feb. 21 by the final score of 13-5. Indiana also went 1-2 in its opening series of the season against the Auburn Tigers, which was on the road in Alabama last weekend.

Texas vs. Indiana preview
According to the game notes from Texassports.com, Texas will trot out redshirt the 6-foot-1 junior left-hander Lucas Gordon for the opener of this weekend series on Feb. 24. Gordon pitched five scoreless innings in a no-decision that came against the No. 8 Arkansas Razorbacks in Texas’ season opener on Feb. 17.
In the second game of the series, Piere and the Longhorns will give redshirt junior right-hander Zane Morehouse the call on the mound against Indiana. Morehouse also came up with a no-decision on the opening weekend of the season for Texas. He went four innings deep in a loss for the Longhorns to the Mizzou Tigers, where he gave up three earned runs and eight hits while striking out four batters.
Gordon should be able to give the Longhorns a major boost on the mound on Friday night, as he was really solid against a good Arkansas lineup in Texas’ opener on Feb. 17.
On the mound for Indiana in the opener will be senior left-hander Ben Seiler, who gave up three earned runs in 2.1 innings on the mound in a loss to Auburn on Feb. 17. Seiler is a towering 6-foot-6 fifth-year pitcher that transferred in from Siena last offseason.
In Game 2 of this series, the Hoosiers will give junior right-hander Seti Manase the call on the mound. Manase is 1-0 on the season and has appeared in two games. He pitched one inning against Auburn last weekend and one inning on Feb. 21 against Miami (OH). Manase has yet to allow a single earned run on the season.
Texas should be able to get its first weekend series win of the season against the Hoosiers. There is more talent in Texas’ rotation than in Indiana’s. And Texas’ bats showed a lot of life in the 10-run win over the Islanders a few days ago.
All three games between Texas and Indiana this weekend will be broadcast on Longhorn Network. The first pitch time on Feb. 25 is set for 1 p.m. CT at the Disch, and the series finale will begin at 12 p.m. CT.
