The fans on the Forty Acres are readying up for the Big 12 Men’s Tournament in basketball within the next few days. The final day of action for Big 12 basketball for the 2022-23 regular season will take place on March 4, highlighted by No. 9 Texas hosting No. 3 Kansas at the Moody Center in Austin.

Following the conclusion of regular season action around the Big 12 this weekend, the focus will turn to the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City, MO, next week.

This will be an opportunity for multiple teams in the Big 12 to make a statement ahead of Selection Sunday that they can find success in the best and deepest conference in all of college hoops. Since the winner of the Big 12 Tournament will automatically qualify for the NCAA Tournament, everyone has a shot to make a run in March and April starting next week.

When and where is the 2023 Big 12 Men’s Tournament being held?

Per an official release from the Big 12, the men’s tournament will be held at T-Mobile Arena in Kansas City, MO, from March 8 through March 11. The first round of action in the Big 12 men’s tournament will begin on March 8 at 6 p.m. CT, with the bottom four seeds duking it out in a couple of games.

Here’s a look at the first-round schedule for the Big 12 Tournament on March 8 (per Visit KC).

Wednesday, March 8 (First Round)

  • 6 p.m. – No. 8 Seed vs. No. 9 Seed
  • 8:30 p.m. – No. 7 Seed vs. No. 10 Seed

Then, the quarterfinals will take place on March 9, with the rest of the top six seeds jumping into the action along with the two winners from the first round. Here is the schedule for the quarterfinals on March 9.

Thursday, March 9 (Quarterfinals)

  • 11:30 a.m. – No. 4 Seed vs. No. 5 Seed
  • 2 p.m. – No. 1 Seed vs. Game 1 Winner
  • 6 p.m. – No. 2 Seed vs. Game 2 Winner
  • 8:30 p.m. – No. 3 Seed vs. No. 6 Seed

The semifinals take place on March 10, which is the first time that each of the four teams that are still alive in the tournament must have won at least one game already.

Friday, March 10 (Semifinals)

  • 6 p.m. – No. Game 3 Winner vs. Game 4 Winner
  • 8:30 p.m. – Game 5 Winner vs. Game 6 Winner

Last but not least, the final round of the Big 12 Tournament will take place on March 11, the day before Selection Sunday.

Saturday, March 11 (Finals)

  • 5 p.m. – Game 7 Winner vs. Game 8 Winner

How to watch the 2023 Big 12 Men’s Tournament

The ESPN family of networks will carry each game in the Big 12 Tournament. You can catch all the action from March 8 to 11 on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU.

In last year’s Big 12 Tournament, the first round of action was broadcast live on ESPNU. Then, the rest of the tournament was carried on either ESPN or ESPN2, depending on the magnitude of the game and the time of day.
