Selection Sunday 2023: Time, date & how to watch men’s and women’s special
One of the first things that come to mind when March Madness time arrives for college hoops is Selection Sunday.
The festivities formally known as March Madness really kick into high gear with the arrival of Selection Sunday. Before that time arrives, though, we still have quite a few important regular season finales to take care of. Then, it is time for the conference tournaments.
The college hoops regular season concludes for the men’s side on March 5. And the women’s regular season also concludes on March 5, with a handful of games wrapping up before conference tournaments officially take center stage.
When is Selection Sunday 2023 for the Men’s NCAA Tournament?
Following the conclusion of the men’s conference tournaments next week, the men’s show on Selection Sunday will take place on March 12 at 5 p.m. CT. The men’s selection show will be broadcast live on CBS, per NCAA.com.
When is Selection Sunday 2023 for the Women’s NCAA Tournament?
Right after the selection show for the men’s NCAA Tournament on March 12, the women’s show will begin. The women’s Selection Sunday show will take place specifically at 7 p.m. CT on March 12, aired live on ESPN.
When does the NCAA Tournament start?
The men’s NCAA Tournament begins on March 14 and 15, with the First Four playing out at UD Arena in Dayton, OH. The First Four will see the four lowest at-large bids in the 68-team NCAA Tournament field duke it out for a couple of spots in the Round of 64. The Round of 64 begins on March 16.
The women’s NCAA Tournament begins on March 15 and 16, with the First Four duking it out for a couple of spots in the Round of 64. And the Round of 64 begins in the women’s NCAA Tournament on March 17.
