Texas basketball will complete the 2022-23 regular season slate on March 4 against the No. 3 ranked Kansas Jayhawks and head coach Bill Self. In the midst of the festivities at the Moody Center in Austin this weekend as interim head coach Rodney Terry and Texas look to round out the regular season on a high note, there are a couple of key visitors to watch on campus.

According to a report from Gerry Hamilton of Inside Texas on March 4 (paid content), Texas will host its two five-star early signees in the 2023 class in the midst of the regular season finale at home against the Jayhawks.

The two five-star signees in the Longhorns 2023 class are Duncanville power forward Ron Holland and Southern California Academy combo guard AJ Johnson.

This duo of five-star Texas signees visiting campus again is further proof that these two remain locked in with the Longhorns, despite the firing of former head coach Chris Beard earlier this year. It’s evident that Holland and Johnson are still committed to Terry and the Longhorns staff.

Holland is getting to campus in the midst of a busy stretch for him at Duncanville. He’s having a stellar senior campaign at Duncanville, which has earned him Naismith All-American honors and a finalist nod for the Naismith High School Boys Player of the Year award.

Johnson is also having a solid run on the court in the last year or so. He is another top 20-rated recruit in the nation in the 2023 class that will bring a ton of talent and potential to the table for the Longhorns next season.
