A moment that a lot of Texas football fans were waiting for throughout the 2023 NFL Draft scouting process arrived on March 5. Texas’ Junior All-American running back Bijan Robinson finally got to test his 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis this weekend.

And Bijan surely didn’t disappoint with his results in the 40-yard dash. According to’s live combine results, Bijan ran a 4.46 second 40-yard dash time. That is good for the sixth-best 40-yard dash time among running backs at the combine this weekend.

Bijan ran a faster 40-yard dash time than other top running backs in this draft class such as Auburn’s Tank Bigsby, UCLA’s Zach Charbonnet, and Georgia’s Kenny McIntosh.

Moreover, Bijan had a good start at the NFL Combine. He tested among the top half of running backs in this class in just about every event possible on the afternoon of March 5.

Bijan’s performance at the NFL Combine on March 5 was highlighted by a top-three time in the 10-second split (1.52 seconds) and the fourth-best broad jump measurement, at 10-foot-4.

It’s worth noting that the other former Texas running back in this draft class, senior Roschon Johnson, was also participating in the festivities at the NFL Combine this weekend. Roschon posted a 4.58 40-yard dash time.

Bijan is pretty widely projected as the top running back in this NFL Draft class. That includes ESPN’s ranking of the best players available in the 2023 NFL Draft, which slots Bijan among the top 10 across all positions.
